My approach
I do sex therapy and relationship counseling for all kinds of people, including LGBTQ+ folks, ENM and polyamorous relationships, and anyone who's felt judged or dismissed by therapists who weren't equipped to meet them where they are. I'm not a neutral observer. I think sexuality is a legitimate and important part of being human, and I think therapy should be able to address it directly. My sessions tend to have more humor than most. That's on purpose. Warmth and levity are not the same as not taking things seriously.
What I work with
Sexual concerns, desire discrepancy in couples, shame and sexual identity, relationship structure (including navigating transitions into or within nonmonogamy), communication and conflict in partnerships, and the intersection of trauma and sexuality. I also work with individuals on dating, attachment, and relationship patterns more broadly. You don't have to have a specific "sex issue" to benefit from working with a sex therapist. A lot of what I do is just helping people be more honest about what they want.
