I work in-person Mon and Weds, and work virtually Tues, Th, & Fri.
$125 for individuals (55 mins) and $150 for couples (55 mins). I can bill insurance for individual and couples counseling and have a sliding scale for folks paying out-of-pocket with limited financial resources. I offer free 20 minute consultations.
I've provided counseling in community mental health and low-cost clinic settings, and worked in the wider mental health field in residential care, sexual violence prevention, men's mental health, and mental health research. I am white, queer, neurodivergent, Jewish, and navigate chronic pain. I share this because some people feel more comfortable with a provider that shares some of their identities and/or lived experiences. However, I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds. : )
Being a human can feel like a lot sometimes, especially with the world we live in, and the roles, responsibilities, and systems we navigate. Finding the right counselor that takes your insurance, has availability, and provides the care you're looking for can feel challenging. While I don't know if I am the right fit for you, I can commit to being as transparent and clear as possible.
I help people 13 and older process experiences, strengthen awareness, and develop new skills and patterns. My hope is that the space we create together can offer you the trust, agency, invitation, and spaciousness to feel welcomed as you are, and the support and structure to grow into the person (or people) you're becoming.
I offer in-person and virtual counseling services to individuals and couples navigating:
I believe mental health and wellness are shaped by our upbringing, experiences, the culture(s) and systems we live within, and sources of strength and support we're connected to. I also believe people hold wisdom about their own journeys and needs, and are capable of growth and healing when connected with the right resources and care. I do my best to offer clients warmth, curiosity, authenticity, collaboration, and a sprinkle of humor. I check in throughout our work about feedback, and adjust care accordingly. Previous clients have described my approach as "calm and grounding", "gentle but direct", and have said I "helped [them] connect with the parts of [themselves they've] been scared of". If you’re unsure if I am the right counselor for you, feel free to email me with any questions or hesitations. : ) For more information about my training, FAQs, and resources, you can check out my website here: https://www.eliseleibowitzcounseling.com/
