I am currently offering some outdoor, walk-and-talk sessions in the East Portland/Gresham area.
I see therapy as a dynamic, co-creative process, grounded in a foundation of trust, curiosity, and respect. As relational creatures in a complex world, both our challenges and triumphs are rooted in interconnected systems. Often, our emotions and thoughts can be like waterways that lead us to our innate capacity for transformation and connection. As I support you in this process, my intention is to offer a space that is truly welcoming and guided by your needs and desires as they change throughout our sessions.
My approach is relational and collaborative, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), experiential, and liberation-focused approaches, and grounded in somatic, creative, and polyvagal practices.
I welcome individual clients ages 12 and up, as well as couples, families, and other relational constellations. As a queer, neurodivergent person, I am especially committed to supporting LGTBQIA+ folks and their extended communities, and honoring access needs and sensory preferences in the therapy space. I am drawn to supporting people through life’s thresholds, including grief and loss, career changes, the journey from peri to post menopause, and the shifting identities and family dynamics of adolescence and young adulthood. My relational experience includes working with polyamorous relationships, families living with disability or chronic illness, co-parents adjusting to separation, mixed-neurotype relationships, and intimacy and attachment work.
I hold a Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University, with a specialization in Trauma Counseling, as well as a BA in Educational Psychology. I am currently enrolled in an IFS Level 1 Training, and have completed trainings in Interpersonal Neurobiology, EAGALA Equestrian-assisted Therapy, and Sound, Music and Voice in the Healing Arts.
In my personal time, I enjoy singing, writing and playing music in community, returning to my favorite places in nature, gathering wild foods, and participating in local movements for collective liberation. Before entering the field of mental health, I worked as a field botanist in the Mojave desert for many years, and facilitated individual and group vocal improvisation workshops, and connection to nature and sound continues to be a grounding force in my work as a therapist.
Tasya will get back to you to set up a first conversation.
